DREADMOOR Rare Fish Locations – Mutants, Night Fish & Deep Catches — DREADMOOR guide cover

Quick Guide — Key Takeaways

  • Ten species are Sea Blight mutants — they only appear in blighted water, with few habitats each.
  • Harpy and Gleamer are night-tied: fish for them after dark or not at all.
  • Bloodgill and Greasechar (Lv 30) need outer-channel range; Sharpfin (Lv 50) is the endgame peaceful catch.
  • Rammfish, Bonescar, Bully and Stonegnawer take only Pipecross or Deadly Tick — standard lures won't work.
  • Sharpfin is worth more processed into Sharpfin Flesh than sold, even at 16/kg.

Twenty-six of the ledger's twenty-eight species will come to you with routine work. These are the ones that will not — where they hide, what they take, and which are worth the trip. Full data for every entry is in the fish list.

Sea Blight Mutants

Ten species carry the Blight. Their shared rule: blighted water only, few habitats each.

Gravedigger Drowned ruins 0 Wind-Up Tin / Sturdy Earcrawler
Necrosoft Deep silt beds 0 Wind-Up Tin / Sturdy Earcrawler
Rammfish Wreck fields 0 Pipecross / Deadly Tick
Sawfin Coral margins 0 Wind-Up Tin / Sturdy Earcrawler
Shardback Broken hulls 0 Rainbow Fin / Flaming Belly
Crackback Blighted channels 10 Rainbow Fin / Flaming Belly
Harpy Night water 10 Rainbow Fin / Flaming Belly
Stonegnawer Concrete ruins 10 Pipecross / Deadly Tick
Swallower Sunken structures 10 Rainbow Fin / Flaming Belly

Sharpfin — the level 50 peaceful catch and the top of the ledger

Night-Only Fish

Harpy and Gleamer are the night-tied records. There is no daylight substitute: plan a deliberate night run with a patched hull, a full tank and — if you have it — a Spotlight module. The night survival guide covers the preparation; the giant tentacle covers the price of skipping it.

The Narrow-Bait Four

Bonescar, Bully, Rammfish and Stonegnawer ignore the standard predator lures. They are listed only for Pipecross / Deadly Tick — and Deadly Tick itself is a late project (5 Torn Pages research, plus Sharpfin Flesh in the recipe). Treat these four as a chain you unlock, not fish you stumble into.

The High-Level Trio

  • Bloodgill (Lv 30) — deep channels, 12/kg.
  • Greasechar (Lv 30) — grease-stained water, 12/kg.
  • Sharpfin (Lv 50) — deep peaceful water, 16/kg, 120 stamina at class 3. The hardest fight in the ledger and the source of Sharpfin Flesh — process it rather than selling when you can.

Level is a gate, not a difficulty slider: if a species is not appearing, your boat and gear have not reached its water yet.

FAQ

Where do I find mutant fish in DREADMOOR?

Only in blighted water: Glowbug in blighted backwater, Crackback in blighted channels, Gravedigger in drowned ruins, Rammfish in wreck fields, Sawfin on coral margins, Shardback among broken hulls, Harpy in night water, Stonegnawer in concrete ruins, Swallower in sunken structures, and Necrosoft in deep silt beds.

Which fish only appear at night in DREADMOOR?

Harpy and Gleamer are the night-tied species in the demo data. Sail prepared — the giant tentacle is the night tax on open water.

What is the rarest fish in DREADMOOR?

By habitat count, Glowbug, Rammfish and Shardback are recorded at only two spots each. By level gate, Sharpfin (Lv 50) is the hardest catch to reach and the most valuable at 16/kg.

How do I catch Rammfish?

Rammfish is one of the four predators listed only for the Pipecross / Deadly Tick bait pair, in the wreck fields. Rainbow Fin will not attract it.
